How to count pregnancy weeks after ivf?

I conceived through IVF and my dates are confusing because there is transfer date, retrieval date and scan date. The app based on LMP doesn't make sense for me. IVF moms, how did your clinic count weeks?

My doc explained that with IVF they dont go by last period, they go by transfer day. For a day 5 embryo they basically count back as if conception was a set time, so your due date is calculated from transfer. She told me my weeks at every scan so I just trusted that.

After IVF the counting is a bit different, your clinic counts from the embryo transfer date and adjusts for the day 3 or day 5 embryo. My doctor gave me my exact dates so I didnt have to calculate myself. Just ask ur clinic, they do it precisely for IVF.

Dont try the normal LMP method after IVF, it wont be right. The clinic counts from transfer and embryo age. Let them tell you the weeks, they have it exact.
