Everyone keeps asking me which month im in but the doc always tells me in weeks. Im 18 weeks and honestly i get confused converting it. Is there a simple way to remember this?
Honestly just remember 40 weeks equals roughly 9 months and the rest fills in. The week count matters more for your checkups than the months. Dont overthink the month math.
Roughly every 4 to 4 and a half weeks makes a month, since 40 weeks works out to about 9 months. My doctor counted in weeks always because it is more precise. So 12 weeks is about 3 months, 24 is around 6, and so on.
My pregnancy app did this conversion automatically which was a relief. Basically divide your weeks by about 4.3 to get the month. Doctors stick to weeks though, so I learned to think in weeks too.
