How to count trimester in pregnancy?

Everyone keeps asking which trimester im in and honestly i get confused with the week counting. Im around 13 weeks now. So does that mean second tri started or not? little help pls.

12 weeks each block roughly. 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Your scan report also mentions the week.

My doc explained it simply, its 40 weeks total split in three. First trimester week 1 to 12, second 13 to 27, third 28 till delivery. She counts from the last period date, not from conception.

I was so confused by this too initially. The weeks are counted from last period which felt weird since you arent pregnant in week 1 and 2. Anyone else found that confusing?

Haan it goes by weeks na, total 40. Pehle 12 weeks first trimester, fir second, fir last wala third. App pe dekh lo, easy ho jaata hai.
