Oh my god, same here! I'm in my second trimester and my skin has started feeling so dry and itchy, especially my stomach and legs. Is it normal? I'm worried it's something serious. My gynac appointment is next week, should I wait or ask her before? What lotions are safe to use, yaar?
Oh I remember that! It feels like forever when you're going through it but it's usually just your skin stretching and hormonal changes. My gynac had told me to use calamine lotion, it helped a little. Once your little one is here, all these small discomforts will just be memories, trust me!
Oh god, itching is so annoying na, I remember with my severe morning sickness I just wanted everything to stop. For itching, try keeping your skin super hydrated, use a mild, unscented lotion. A cool shower might help too, and avoid very hot water. Talk to your gynac if it gets worse though, just to be safe.
Itching can be quite uncomfortable, I understand. My amma used to say apply a little coconut oil before bathing, it helps keep skin soft. And use very gentle soaps. But please do mention it to your doctor during your next visit, they might have specific advice for you if it's persistent.
Haan yaar, ye itching toh bohot common hai pregnancy mein, khaaskar baad mein. Meri friend ko bhi bohot hua tha. Tum na, thanda paani se nahaya karo aur moisturizer lagaake rakho hamesha. Loose cotton kapde pehno, usse bhi thoda relief milta hai. But agar bohot zyada ho, toh doc se poochna better hai.
