Heartburn has become a daily struggle for me since I got pregnant. It's so uncomfortable, especially after meals. What can I do to get relief from heartburn during pregnancy?
My MIL told me to chew on some fennel seeds (saunf) or have cold milk whenever the chest burn starts. Honestly, it worked so well for my acidity. Also, try keeping a few pillows to elevate your head while sleeping.
Heartburn is very common but easily manageable. Eat small, frequent meals instead of heavy ones, and don't lie down for at least 2 hours after dinner. Having cold milk or vanilla ice cream also helps immediately.
I found that doing a light 15-minute walk after dinner really helped my digestion, of course after my doctor cleared me for light exercise. Don't sit in one place immediately after eating. Avoid spicy foods too.
I felt like my chest was on fire during my second trimester, it was so miserable. I literally cried some nights because of it. What helped me was having cold milk in small sips and avoiding spicy ghar ka khana at night.
