Im in my second trimester and suddenly my whole face is breaking out, never had this before. Scared to use my old creams ab. Anyone found something gentle that actually helped?
When I had this issue, I just asked my dermatologist at the hospital during my regular checkup. They gave me a safe, pregnancy-friendly face wash. Better to ask your hospital staff directly rather than trying random internet products.
Hormones play a big role but what we eat also matters. When I had gestational diabetes, I had to cut down on sugar and processed carbs completely, and surprisingly my pregnancy acne cleared up so much. Watch your oily food intake but do consult your doctor before changing your diet.
Oh those pregnancy glow lies! 😅 Mine was just pimples everywhere initially! Just drink lots of water and eat fresh fruits, it will pass soon and you will get your actual glow super soon! ❤️
I am in my 18th week and my face is totally covered in breakouts, it makes me feel so low. Is this really normal? Did anyone else's skin get better in the third trimester because I am losing hope.
This is very common, don't worry. Keep your skin clean, use a very mild soap-free cleanser twice a day. Avoid popping them because it will leave bad marks, it usually goes away after delivery.
Trust me, once your baby is in your arms, all these skin issues will just vanish. I had terrible acne but focused on walking and staying active for my normal delivery, and my skin cleared up beautifully postpartum. Stay positive!
Your body is going through so much to protect this precious life, so please be very gentle with yourself. Take care of your mental peace first. It's safe to just use basic, mild baby soap on your face for now, please don't use any harsh acne medicines without asking your doctor.
Look at my face right now, I look like a teenager going to college but with a giant belly. Honestly I just gave up on trying to look pretty, my energy is zero in this 3rd trimester anyway. Just wash with normal water, these hormones are crazy.
Beta, these are just pregnancy hormones, dont put strong chemicals on your face. You can try putting a little bit of multani mitti or raw milk gently on the face. But please test a small patch first, skin gets very sensitive now.
Haha pimples are the least of my worries now that my baby wakes up every 2 hours! Honestly, I barely get time to brush my teeth let alone look in the mirror. Just ignore them, nobody is looking at your face anyway, they only see the baby!
Please dont waste money on expensive dermatologist creams or high-end facials, they are mostly not safe anyway. We already have so many hospital bills and scan costs coming up. A simple basic moisturizer from pharmacy is enough.
