My feet and ankles have swollen up so much in third trimester, by evening even my chappals dont fit. Keeping legs up but it comes back. Any tips that actually helped reduce it?
Uff, edema is just another one of those pregnancy things na, so uncomfortable! Don't feel bad if you're struggling with it, it's totally normal. Just try to keep your feet up whenever you get a chance, even for a few minutes. You're doing great, mama!
As a working mom, it was hard to keep legs elevated all day but I tried to do it during breaks. Keep a stool under your desk. Also, compression socks if your doctor suggests them, they really help. And water, water, water!
Hey, for edema, definitely keep your feet elevated whenever you sit. And make sure you're drinking enough water, actually. My gynac also recommended light walks if you're cleared for it. Helped me a lot!
My doctor actually said light activity can sometimes help circulation, like gentle walking. But pls check with your gynac first na, everyone's pregnancy is different. I used to do some ankle rotations while sitting too. Just remember to listen to your body.
I felt so heavy and my feet were like balloons towards the end of my pregnancy! It was so annoying. I tried drinking more water, and honestly, just lying down with my legs propped up on pillows for a bit helped me feel a little relief. Hope it gets better for you!
Oh, I remember those swollen feet so well! It's tough, I know. I found that having a lot of water and maybe some coconut water helped a bit. Also, try to avoid standing for too long if you can. Gentle movements are good, but rest with legs up is key.
Is it normal to get so much swelling? My feet are starting to get puffy and I'm only in my second trimester. Does this happen to everyone? I'm trying to drink water but it feels like it's not enough sometimes. Anyone else feel this way?
