My recent test showed my sugar is on the higher side and gynac said to watch it. Im trying to be careful with food now but feeling a bit overwhelmed. What helped you all bring it down naturally? pls share ur experience.
I had GD so I get this fully. Small frequent meals, cut sweets and white rice, more veggies and protein helped me a lot. But honestly follow the diet your doctor or dietician gives, dont guess on your own.
My mom swapped white rice with millets and added more vegetables in my meals, that helped me a lot. Small bowls more often instead of big ones. But I always cross checked the readings with my gynac.
With my PCOS background sugar was always a worry, so I went strictly by my doctors plan. I wont claim any home trick, everyones body is different. Please keep your gynac updated with the readings.
My doctor said walking 15-20 min after meals brings sugar down really well, and it worked for me. Also they monitor with regular sugar tests. Diet plus light activity is the main combo, with their guidance.
You dont need fancy food yaar, simple home dal, veggies and roti in controlled portions worked for me. A cheap glucometer to check at home saved many clinic trips. Keep it simple and follow the doctors numbers.
What helped me was prepping simple meals so I dont reach for junk when busy. A short walk after lunch even around office. Keep your meals on time, that itself controls a lot.
