Leg swelling is a pain, especially if you're working. I found that compression stockings really made a difference. Also, whenever I sat for calls, I'd secretly prop my feet up on a stool under my desk. Hydration is key too, always keep a water bottle handy.
I felt this so much, especially in my last trimester, my legs would look like balloons! It was so exhausting and painful. I tried elevating my feet whenever possible and my husband used to gently massage them. It really helped me feel a little better.
Leg swelling is common, but it's very important to monitor it. If the swelling is sudden, severe, or accompanied by headaches, vision changes, or pain, you MUST call your gynac immediately. For normal swelling, elevating legs, staying hydrated, and avoiding prolonged standing helps, but always keep your doctor informed.
Elevating your legs often and drinking plenty of water usually helps a lot. Also, try to avoid standing for long periods. Compression stockings can sometimes be useful too, if your doctor says it's okay.
Oh my god, I'm in my second trimester and my legs have started swelling a little too! It's so uncomfortable. Does this happen to everyone? I'm trying to elevate my feet, but it's still there. What else did you all do?
Oh, my darling, I totally understand how uncomfortable and sometimes scary leg swelling can be during pregnancy. It's a natural part of the journey for many. Try to rest with your feet up as much as you can, and drink lots of water. Sending you lots of strength and comfort.
