My doctor said i've put on a bit more than expected for this stage and asked me to be careful. Im 6 months now. I dont want to do anything risky obviously, just want safe ways to manage it. How did u all handle this?
I was told the same to manage my weight because of GD. It was not about losing but eating right, more veggies, less sugar and fried stuff, smaller frequent meals. My doctor and a dietician planned it for me, please get proper guidance instead of cutting food.
I get the worry but the goal is healthy weight, not weight loss now. With my doctors okay I did daily walks and some gentle prenatal yoga which kept me from gaining too fast. Definitely check with your doc before any exercise.
Honestly pregnancy is not the time to try losing weight, you actually need to gain a healthy amount. What you can do is eat clean and avoid junk. Please talk to your gynac about your weight target, they guide based on your trimester.
Please dont try to lose weight on your own during pregnancy, it can affect the baby. If you feel you are gaining too much, that is exactly the thing to discuss with your gynac. They will tell you the safe way.
Dont diet now yaar, your baby needs the nutrition. Just swap the junk for fruits and home food, walk a bit daily if doctor allows. Controlled gain is fine, dont aim to reduce.
