How to differentiate between normal and ectopic pregnancy?
I tested positive a few days back and ive been getting some pain on one side which is making me a little anxious. I have my first scan next week. Just wanted to understand what others noticed.
My doctor explained that an early scan checks if the pregnancy is in the uterus, which confirms it is normal. Ectopic often comes with sharp pain and abnormal bleeding. She stressed that only medical tests can differentiate, not symptoms alone.
Beta this is not something to guess at home. If you have strong pain on one side or bleeding, see your doctor urgently. The early scan will confirm everything is in the right place, so get it done on time.
I had an ectopic and please dont try to figure this out yourself. Severe one sided pain, unusual bleeding or dizziness needs immediate doctor attention. Only a scan and blood tests can tell, so go to your gynac right away if anything feels off.
