How to differentiate between period and pregnancy bleeding?
Got some light spotting this month thats different from my usual flow, lighter and pinkish. We are trying so my mind is going everywhere. How do you tell the difference?
Beta in pregnancy the blood is very little, like just a stain, and it goes away soon. Period blood is more and red. If you not sure, take the test from chemist, it tells you clearly.
Implantation bleeding (early pregnancy) is usually light, pinkish or brown, just spotting for a day or two, no full flow. A period is heavier, redder, lasts longer and gets heavier. If you spot lightly and your period doesnt come properly, take a test after a few days.
My gynac explained, period flow starts light then gets heavy with clots and lasts 3-5 days. Pregnancy spotting is much lighter, scanty, pink or brownish and doesnt build up. But she said the only sure way is a pregnancy test or scan, color alone can fool you.
One important thing, if you are or could be pregnant and you bleed, especially heavy or with pain, dont wait, see your doctor. Bleeding in pregnancy isnt always harmless. Light spotting can be normal but get it checked to be safe.
I was so confused by this in the beginning. Mine was just light brown spotting that I thought was period starting but it never became a full flow, and test was positive. Did anyone else have just spotting? It really is lighter than a normal period.
Easiest tell yaar, period = proper flow, pregnancy spotting = tiny bit and stops. But honestly dont keep guessing, just take a test, much less stress that way.
