How to differentiate period cramps and pregnancy cramps?
I'm having some mild cramping, and my period is due soon, but I'm also hoping to be pregnant. How can I tell the difference between typical period cramps and early pregnancy cramps? They feel quite similar to me.
For me, the main clue was that along with cramps, I suddenly wanted to eat a whole plate of momos at midnight! Period cramps usually just make me want chocolate, but pregnancy cramps came with crazy food thoughts. See if u have any weird cravings starting!
I totally feel you, that suspense can be so emotionally draining. For me, pregnancy cramps felt a bit different, like a mild pulling or stretching sensation rather than the heavy ache. Sending u so much love and hoping u get your good news soon.
Oh god, those early days! Now in my 3rd trimester, my baby is practically doing kickboxing inside, so I miss those tiny mild cramps. But honestly, early on, both feel almost identical, so just keep your fingers crossed and wait a couple of days.
Haha, honestly that wait is the absolute worst! Period cramps feel like a normal villain, but early pregnancy cramps make u constantly check the bathroom every 5 mins. Relax, grab some light snacks and don't overthink it, let your body do its thing.
Practically speaking, it is very hard to tell the difference early on just by the feel. Better not to waste hours googling and tracking every single ache. Just wait till your missed period date and do a home urine test, it's the only way to save time and stress.
I am in my 16th week now and still get these tiny twinges sometimes. Back then, I thought my period was definitely coming because the cramps felt so similar. Did anyone else feel that exact same period-like dull ache before testing positive?
My mother always said that mild stretching pain is just the body preparing itself. We usually drink a little warm water or take rest. But if the pain gets too sharp, please don't wait and contact your gynac immediately.
Having PCOS, my cycles were always erratic, so cramps always confused me. Sometime it was just my period, but when I actually conceived, the mild cramping lasted longer without bleeding. Just track it gently but don't rush to conclusions, our bodies are quite tricky.
