Doc advised me complete bed rest from this week and honestly im a bit lost. Like can i sit up, can i go to washroom normally, kitni movement allowed? Mere liye its all new, pls guide.
Bed rest can be tough, but so important if your doc says so. I found it really helped to have everything I needed within reach – water, snacks, phone charger. And make sure you change positions slightly to avoid stiffness, gentle movements are good if allowed.
Oh, bed rest means properly resting, not just lying on the phone! My saas made sure I was always horizontal, only getting up for washroom. She'd bring everything to my bed. It's important to really listen to your body and your doctor.
This is something I've wondered about! So is it literally just lying in bed all day, or can you move around the house a bit? I hope it's not too boring!
For me, bed rest meant mostly being in bed or on the sofa, with feet up. I used a lot of pillows for comfort. My husband helped a lot with bringing food and keeping me company. Make sure you have entertainment like books or shows ready!
Bed rest usually means staying off your feet as much as possible. Elevate your legs, especially. If it's strict, it means only getting up for the bathroom. Otherwise, you might be allowed to sit up or move around a little in the house. Always clarify with your gynac what kind of bed rest they mean.
If your doctor prescribed bed rest, make sure you understand the specifics – whether it's strict bed rest or modified. And follow up regularly with your doctor. I had thyroid issues so my doc was very clear about what I could and couldn't do.
