Im in my 2nd trimester and my saas keeps telling me to start kesar milk for fair baccha and all. I dont really know how much kesar to put or when to have it. How do u all take it?
Oh god, making fancy kesar milk is too much work for my tired 3rd trimester self right now! But sometimes when my MIL makes it, she just drops 2 strands in hot milk. I drink it quickly and go straight to sleep because my back is constantly aching haha.
Actually, my doctor specifically told me to wait until the 5th month or second trimester to start kesar milk. She said only 2 strands per cup is safe because too much saffron can cause heat or uterine contractions. So please ask your gynac once before you start.
Hey, even I was thinking of starting this! My grandmother was saying I should drink it now that I am in my fifth month. Should we drink it daily or only 2-3 times a week? Anyone else doing this?
Saffron is good but don't expect miracles like fair baby and all, that is all old myths. Just use 2 strands for its warmth and taste. Take it at night and don't overdo the quantity, that's it.
With office work and all, I didn't have time for long prep. I just used to put 2 strands of saffron in my thermos of warm milk before leaving for work, so it would infuse by the time I took my evening break. Simple and hassle-free.
Saffron milk is great, but remember moderation is key. Just take 2-3 strands of kesar, soak them in warm milk for 10 mins so the color comes out nicely, and drink it. Don't put too much as it is warm in nature.
From my experience, having a warm cup of milk with 2-3 strands of saffron during the evening really helped me relax. It is super soothing, just make sure you buy pure saffron to avoid any adulteration.
I used to have warm kesar milk at night and it really helped me sleep better. I had a smooth normal delivery and felt strong throughout. Just start after your first trimester is over, it is very comforting.
Actually I am no expert so check with your doc first, but personally I started having it in my second trimester. I would just boil milk, add two strands of kesar with a bit of badam powder, and drink it warm before bedtime.
Kesar milk is so comforting in pregnancy, ho na. I just boil 2 strands in warm milk with a little elaichi. Just make sure you don't use too much kesar, keep it simple and light.
