Bought a packet of akhrot coz everyone keeps saying its good for baby brain. But i dont know how many per day or should i soak it. How do u all have it?
Don't eat too many at once as they can cause body heat, dear. Just soak 2 walnuts in water at night and have them with your breakfast. It's very good for the baby's brain.
I have heard soaking them overnight makes them easier to digest. I am also trying to include a few soaked akhrot in my morning routine now, hoping it helps.
I used to soak 3 walnuts overnight and peel the skin in the morning because it tasted less bitter. I did this throughout my third trimester and it really helped my energy levels.
My saas insists that I should only eat them soaked, otherwise they are too 'garam' for the baby. So I dutifully soak 2 akhrot every night to keep everyone happy!
