Im in my 2nd trimester and everyone is telling me to have badam daily. But i get confused, raw khaun ya soaked overnight? Roasted bhi chalega kya? Pls share how u all take them.
According to the tracking apps I used, soaked and peeled badam is highly recommended for baby's brain development. I used to log it daily in my app and had them first thing in the morning with my warm milk.
In our house, my MIL made sure I ate soaked badam every single morning. She used to peel them for me and say that eating them without peeling causes heat in the body. So definitely soak them first!
Soaking them makes them easy on the stomach, especially before a light workout. I used to eat 5 soaked almonds right before my morning walk, which my doc had allowed me to do regularly. It gave me great energy.
This is so good to know because I am planning my pregnancy now and starting to eat healthy. Do you ladies eat them plain after peeling, or is it okay to mix them in milk or a smoothie?
Soaking almonds overnight and peeling them in the morning is the best way to eat them during pregnancy. It makes them super easy to digest and absorbs the nutrients better. You can have about 5-6 daily.
