My MIL gave me dry dates saying it is good, but they are hard and I dont know how many to take. I am in 5th month and already having constipation also. How did you include them, if you did?
Beta soak 2-3 dry dates in water or milk overnight, they become soft and easy to eat in the morning. Many in our family take it for energy. Just dont eat a big handful, couple is enough.
Dry dates are healthy but quite sugary, so eat just 1-2 a day, not more. With my sugar issue I had to count them. If you have any diabetes risk, ask your doctor how many is ok.
We grind soaked dates into milk and drink it, my mil swears by it in last months. Its warm and comforting na. Just keep the quantity small and you are fine.
I used to have them soaked in warm milk at night, tasted nice and gave good energy. You can also chop into porridge. Keep it moderate, dates are high in sugar.
