Got a sudden craving for peanut butter this week, im in my second trimester. Not sure if i should just have it on toast or how much is ok in a day. How do u all have it?
Its a good protein snack, i had it on whole wheat bread or with apple slices. Just watch the portion since its calorie dense. A tablespoon or so a day is plenty.
Oh i lived on peanut butter toast in my second trimester, total craving phase. I spread it on toast, banana, or just had a spoon honestly. Pick a no added sugar one and dont go overboard, its quite heavy.
I had gestational diabetes so i chose unsweetened peanut butter and paired it with protein not sugary stuff. It actually didnt spike my sugar much. Just check the label for hidden sugar if u have any concern.
