2nd trimester now and feeling a bit more like myself, but honestly there is so much fear in my head about hurting the baby. Husband is also nervous. How do you ladies stay comfortable and actually relax? Pls share, asking shyly.
With office work and pregnancy fatigue, you really have to find time when you aren't completely exhausted. Weekend mornings worked best for us. Use lots of lube and don't rush into anything.
I literally cried the first time thinking it would harm the baby, but my gynac laughed and said the baby is well protected. Once I realized that, we just used comfortable side-lying positions and it was totally fine!
I understand why you might feel scared or anxious about hurting the baby, I felt the exact same way. But as long as your doctor says there are no complications like placenta previa, it is perfectly safe. Just talk openly with your partner.
When you are constantly throwing up, feeling sexy is so hard! My advice is to wait for the second trimester when nausea settles down, and always choose comfortable positions that don't put pressure on your belly.
Since I was staying at my parents' place for most of my pregnancy, we barely got privacy which was a bit frustrating. But when we did, my mom always told me to be very careful and gentle. Focus on cuddling if you feel uncomfortable.
While managing my gestational diabetes, I was always tired from diet tracking, but physical intimacy actually helped relieve some stress. Just make sure you are hydrated and don't overexert yourself. Definitely ask your doctor if you have any high-risk factors.
