Im 5 months along and so eager to feel my baby's heartbeat at home, heard it on scan and now i just want that connection daily. Is there a way to feel or hear it by hand or some app? Pls share if you tried anything.
I keep trying to feel it pressing my belly and getting anxious when I cant. So it is only heard at the clinic, not felt? That actually calms me down, thanks.
My doctor said you dont feel the heartbeat with your hand, it is heard via doppler or seen on scan. From around the second trimester she used the doppler at each visit. She warned against the home fetal dopplers since they can cause false worry.
I couldnt really feel the heartbeat myself, but hearing it on the doppler at the clinic gave me goosebumps. The first time around 7 weeks I just cried. Movements I felt later, but the heartbeat is heard, not really felt by hand.
