Im 16 weeks and so curious to hear my baby's heartbeat at home, my next scan is still few weeks away. Some friends mentioned those home dopplers but i dont know if they actually work or are safe. How do u all listen to it, pls share.
My gynac said the heartbeat is usually first seen on the ultrasound around 6-7 weeks. Later they use a small doppler in the clinic to hear it at checkups. She told me not to rely on home gadgets too much as they can confuse you early.
I almost bought a home device because I kept wanting reassurance, but it just made me more anxious when I read reviews. My doc said the clinic checks are enough. Try to trust the scans and your kicks later on.
Honestly the safest way is just at your doctor visits with their doppler. I was tempted to buy a home fetal doppler but the doc said it can cause unnecessary panic if you cant find it. Better to wait for appointments na.
