There is no home way to know, the sonography is the only real answer. If twins run in your or husband's family do mention it to your doctor so she keeps an eye, but otherwise just wait for the dating scan.

Only the scan will tell you honestly, nothing else is reliable. Mine showed up at the first proper ultrasound around 8 weeks and the doc literally said "there are two in here". I had no clue till then, my belly was same as anyone else early on so dont go by size.
