Delivery ko 4 months ho gaye and my tummy is still so loose and out. I feel low when i see my old clothes. Anyone managed to get it back, share what worked pls.
Beti, jaldi kya hai? Pet andar hone mein time lagta hai. Pehle toh aaram karo aur baby ko doodh pilao. Uske baad, jab doctor haan bole, toh thoda walk karo. Ghar ke kaam karne se bhi thoda farak padta hai. Bahut tension mat lo, sab ho jayega dheere dheere.
Oh, I totally get wanting to feel 'normal' again, but please be kind to yourself. Your tummy housed a whole human! It took 9 months to stretch, it won't go flat in 9 days. It's okay if it takes time. Focus on recovery and enjoying your baby, the rest will follow eventually.
Oh god, this was my biggest worry too! I kept thinking about it even before delivery. But my gynac said to take it easy. What if you try light yoga or walking after your 6-week check-up? And definitely no crash diets, that's not good for new moms.
Sweetie, don't put so much pressure on yourself right after delivery. Your body just did an amazing thing! Give it time, at least 6 weeks before even thinking about exercise. Focus on resting, healing, and bonding with your baby. A healthy diet and gentle walks, when cleared by your doc, are a good start.
Many apps have postpartum recovery plans, which can be super helpful! They usually start with very gentle core exercises and kegels once your doctor clears you, typically after 6 weeks. Also, tracking your water intake and nutrition helps. It's a gradual process, be patient with your body.
After my delivery, my tummy was not flat for a long time. My doctor said gentle walks were good, but no heavy exercise. I just tried to eat healthy ghar ka khaana and breastfeed, which also helps. But every body is different, so just listen to your doc's advice.
Beti, immediately after delivery, focus on gaining strength back, not on a flat tummy. Our elders used to say binding the tummy with a cloth helps, but only after proper rest. Eat good nutritious food, especially if you're breastfeeding. And don't start any heavy kasrat without consulting your doctor.
I used to panic about my tummy too, thinking it would never go back! But honestly, it's just a phase. With time, and once your body has healed (give it many months!), you can start gentle exercises like walking and core strengthening, but only when your doctor says it's okay. Don't stress, it does get better.
