My hb came out low in the last report and gynac looked thoda worried. Im in 2nd trimester now and want to bring it up naturally with food also. What worked for u all?
Eat apple, pomegranate, and beetroot daily, they really help. But honestly, food alone won't do it if it's very low, so make sure you take the iron supplements your gynac prescribed.
Definitely focus on pomegranate, spinach, and jaggery as they are cheap and effective. Getting your Hb up now is very important, otherwise they charge a lot for blood transfusions during delivery in private hospitals.
My Hb dropped to 9 in my second trimester and I panicked so much thinking of delivery! But my doctor changed my iron pill and suggested green veggies, and it became totally normal soon. Don't worry!
My mother-in-law used to give me soaked raisins and dates every morning. Along with that, I regularly took my iron tablets as per my doctor's prescription.
With two babies draining my energy, my Hb went super low! 😂 I literally survived on beetroot juice and double doses of iron pills suggested by my doctor. Definitely track this with your gynac.
I had to be so careful with my diet because of GD. For hemoglobin, I took beetroot and spinach but in limited quantities, and strictly followed my doctor's advice on iron tablets.
Due to my PCOS, I was always extra careful about my nutrient levels. Along with green leafy veggies, please make sure you don't skip your routine blood tests and doctor-prescribed supplements.
