How to gain weight during pregnancy second trimester?
Im in my 5th month but my weight is barely moving, gynac also said baby ka weight thoda kam hai. i eat but somehow nothing is sticking. what did you all eat to put on healthy weight in second trimester?
My gynac explained that we only need about 300 extra calories in the second trimester, not 'eating for two'. She advised me to focus on nutrient-dense foods like eggs, paneer, dry fruits, and bananas rather than empty carbs. Regular weight checks at your monthly checkups will tell if you're on track.
Same here, I am in my 5th month and struggling to gain weight because of leftover nausea. Are you also feeling full very quickly? Pls share if you find some easy snacks that don't make you feel bloated.
Listen, don't start overeating junk food just to gain weight, that's not healthy for the baby. Focus on high-protein foods like dal, sprouts, and eggs. If your doctor says baby's growth is fine, then your weight doesn't matter that much.
Koi heavy diet plan ki zaroorat nahi hai, just add small things to your daily routine. Eat a handful of soaked almonds and walnuts, have double-toned milk, and add a spoon of ghee to your rotis. Simple home-cooked food is best and very practical.
Don't stress too much about the scale numbers right now, my weight also didn't increase much till week 20. But by the third trimester, it automatically went up as the baby grew rapidly. Just eat well and let your body do its thing.
