Im in my second tri and havent put on much weight yet, my appetite is still low after all the first tri nausea. trying to understand roughly how much weight is normal to gain in each stage. how did it go for u all?
Eat home food properly beta, milk, curd, fruits, dal chawal, dont skip meals. The weight comes more in the later months, slowly slowly. First three months i couldnt eat much and that was okay, doctor said so.
You dont need fancy expensive foods to gain healthy weight. Dal, eggs, milk, peanuts, banana, ghee in roti, all cheap and good. Spread it across the day with small meals. Your doctor will tell you how much per trimester.
First few months hardly anything, especially with nausea you may even not gain much. Real gain picks up second trimester onwards. Eat balanced, add protein and good fats, not just sugary stuff. Doctor checks it each visit anyway.
My gynac said the first trimester barely needs extra, most weight comes steadily in the second and third. She gave me a per week target rather than a big number. Ask yours for your range since it depends on your starting weight.
I focused on healthy gain not just any weight, lots of protein, fruits, nuts, and light walking that my doctor allowed. The bulk of the gain was second and third trimester for me. Let your gynac set the numbers, they know your body best.
