My periods were always irregular so im confused how they even decide the due date. The app gave me one date and my mind is just doing maths. How is it actually calculated?
Easiest is to enter your last period date in any pregnancy app or due date calculator online, it gives you the estimate instantly. But the early ultrasound is what really fine tunes it. Mine moved by 3 days after the scan.
Standard way is from the first day of your last period, add 280 days (40 weeks). My doctor calculated it that way and then the early dating scan confirmed/adjusted it slightly. The scan one is usually most accurate.
My LMP date and my scan gave slightly different dates and I got worried, but doc said that's totally normal and she went with the scan. Did this happen to anyone else too?
Count from the first day of your last period and add about 9 months and a week. Don't get too fixed on the date though, very few babies come exactly on it. Both mine came earlier.
