We are planning to conceive soon and someone told me i should prepare my body for breastfeeding in advance. Honestly not sure if thats even a thing. Can anyone explain?
From my experience the milk really comes in around late pregnancy and after the baby arrives. Trying to bring it before isnt how the body works. Be patient, your body knows when, and a doctor can guide you if you are worried.
Normally there is no need or way to produce milk before pregnancy. If milk appears on its own without pregnancy, that actually needs a doctor to look into it. So I would gently suggest a check up rather than methods.
Milk production usually starts during pregnancy and after delivery due to hormones, so it is not something you make happen before. If you are seeing any discharge without pregnancy, that should be checked. I would ask a doctor rather than trying anything.
