Im 7 months along and really hoping for a normal delivery, the thought of a c section scares me a bit. I keep hearing about walking and exercises. What worked for you ladies to prepare?
Beta, do your best with healthy habits and walks, but dont put pressure on yourself for a particular type of delivery. A safe baby and a safe you is what matters most. Trust your doctor on the day.
My doctor cleared me for prenatal yoga and daily walks, and I genuinely feel staying active prepares the body. Squats and pelvic exercises if your doc allows. But always get clearance first, dont overdo anything.
I had a normal delivery and what helped me was staying active with walks, doing the breathing my doctor taught, and keeping my weight in check. But honestly a lot also depends on factors out of our control. I just focused on staying healthy and trusted my doctor's call on the day.
Stay active, walk daily as allowed, eat well and keep your weight healthy, these help your chances. Prenatal exercises and good positioning matter too. But remember, sometimes a C section becomes necessary for safety, and thats okay, dont be hard on yourself either way.
