Girl, once you conceive, you don't get periods for the next 9 months! And then, if you're breastfeeding like me, they might stay away for many months after delivery too. I sometimes wish for a break, but trust me, not getting periods during pregnancy is a blessing! Embrace it while it lasts. You'll get them back eventually, usually after breastfeeding stops.
Actually, once you conceive and are pregnant, you should not get your period. If you are experiencing bleeding after a positive pregnancy test, that's not a normal period and it needs immediate medical attention. Please call your gynac or go to the ER right away. It could indicate a complication, so don't delay checking.
Sweetheart, once you're pregnant, your periods stop. Your body is busy making a home for the baby. So, you won't have your monthly cycle for the whole nine months. If you see any blood, or anything that looks like a period, after knowing you're pregnant, please don't wait. Call your gynac immediately. It's always better to get it checked out quickly, just to be safe.
When you've conceived, your menstrual cycle pauses completely for the duration of the pregnancy. You will not have periods. If you experience any bleeding after a positive pregnancy test, it's very important to contact your doctor immediately, just like how I had to constantly monitor my thyroid. Any bleeding could be a sign of a problem and needs urgent medical review.
You don't get periods after conceiving. Your body stops menstruating to support the pregnancy. If you've had a positive pregnancy test and are seeing blood, that's not a period. It could be implantation bleeding, but more importantly, it could be a sign of a problem like miscarriage or ectopic. You need to call your doctor RIGHT AWAY and get checked.
