Third trimester and my lower back is killing me, especially after standing in kitchen for a while. Even sleeping is uncomfortable now. What do you ladies do to ease it a bit?
Back pain was my constant companion both times. A maternity support pillow between the knees while sleeping helped a lot, and avoid standing too long. Dont lift heavy things, ask for help.
Gentle prenatal stretches and light walking helped my back a lot, but only after my gynac okayed it. Posture matters too, dont slouch. A warm (not hot) compress on the lower back felt really nice in the evenings.
Sitting all day at work killed my back. I started keeping a small cushion behind my lower back and getting up to walk every hour. Comfy flat footwear made a surprising difference too, ditch the heels.
Normal back ache is common, but if its severe, sudden, or comes with any fever or cramping or bleeding please call ur doctor right away. For regular aches, gentle measures help, but dont ignore intense pain.
