Hip pain was real for me in the later months. A pillow between my knees while sleeping on the side helped a lot. Also warm compress on the achy spot felt nice in the evenings.
Sitting too long made mine worse, so I got up every hour at work and shifted positions. A small cushion behind the lower back on the chair helped. Side sleeping with a pillow at night was the biggest relief honestly.
Mine ached too, family told me to rest and not stand too long, which helped. A maternity belt for support is also nice in third trimester. If it gets bad ask the doctor if you can use one.
Some gentle pregnancy stretches helped my hips, but only do them if your doctor has cleared you for activity. A short slow walk also kept mine from getting stiff. Dont push into pain though.
Beta, a gentle warm oil massage on the hips by someone careful can ease it, my mother used to do for me. Keep yourself warm and rest the side that hurts. But if pain is sharp or sudden, do tell your doctor.
