How to get rid from constipation during pregnancy?
Since 2nd trimester started this constipation is killing me, so uncomfortable daily. Im drinking water and all but no big help. What food or simple cheezein worked for u all? pls share, really fed up.
My pregnancy tracker recommended adding psyllium husk (isabgol) with warm water at night, which worked wonders. Also, try to do light walking for 15 minutes after meals to help digestion.
I had terrible constipation and it used to make me so anxious that something would go wrong. It's a horrible feeling but completely normal. Try drinking warm water throughout the day, it really helps soothe the system.
I know how uncomfortable this is, but it's very common because of pregnancy hormones. Try eating some soaked prunes or drinking warm milk with a little ghee at night. It gently clears the stomach.
Make sure you are eating lots of salads and fresh fruits. Also, check with your doctor if your iron tablets are causing the constipation; sometimes they need to change the brand.
Haha, welcome to the glamorous side of pregnancy! I survived on prunes and walking around the house like a penguin. Honestly, just hang in there and keep drinking water.
Please be careful and don't strain too much in the bathroom. If the constipation is severe or you feel pain, consult your doctor directly. They can suggest a safe syrup that won't harm the baby.
First of all, drink at least 3 liters of water daily. Eat high-fiber foods like oats and papaya (only if your doctor allowed it) or green veggies. Don't take any laxatives without asking your gynac.
Increasing dietary fiber and staying hydrated is the first step. If home remedies don't work, don't strain as it can cause piles. Ask your gynac for a safe stool softener syrup.
