How to get rid of burning stomach during pregnancy?
There is this burning feeling in my upper pet specially after eating, comes mostly at night. Im 28 weeks. Its so uncomfortable na, how do you all manage this?
I felt exactly like this during my first trimester, the burning was so intense that I would literally cry at night. I felt so helpless until my mom gave me cold milk with a bit of rose syrup, which slowly cooled my stomach. Hang in there, it will pass once your little one is in your arms.
Aree, with two babies pushing my stomach up to my throat, the burning was real! I literally survived on cold milk and vanilla ice cream. Try eating tiny meals every two hours, otherwise your stomach will keep complaining!
I had a lot of severe issues and nausea during my pregnancy, so I always say don't ignore burning stomach if it's too painful or persistent. Sometimes it could be something else, so please check with your doctor once just to be on the safe side.
Just stay calm, take deep breaths and don't take too much stress, as anxiety also increases acidity. Keep your mind peaceful, drink lots of water, and have a little cold curd or buttermilk in the afternoon. God bless you and your baby.
Currently at 36 weeks and my chest is literally on fire every time I lay down! I've started sleeping propped up on three pillows like a royal queen. Cold cucumber slices and coconut water are my only lifesavers right now.
Avoid lying down immediately after eating, and keep a gap of at least 2 hours. Also, try cutting down on spicy, oily food and tea/coffee for a few days. If the burning still doesn't go away, ask your doctor for a safe antacid syrup.
Honestly, before trying any home remedies or taking over-the-counter antacids, please check with your gynac. Every pregnancy is different and some burning might need specific pregnancy-safe medicine that only your doctor can prescribe.
