Constipation is becoming a real issue for me and it's quite uncomfortable. What are some effective and safe ways to get rid of constipation during pregnancy?
I just delivered my baby last month and trust me, this constipation issue was the worst part. My doctor told me to take a mild laxative syrup which helped, and I also added green leafy veggies to my lunch every single day. Please ask your gynac for a safe syrup if it's too bad.
Honestly, I felt so miserable in my first trimester because of this, I literally cried in the washroom once. What worked for me was soaking raisins overnight and eating them in the morning, plus drinking 3 liters of water daily. I felt so much lighter after that.
Haha between feeding my baby every two hours and changing diapers, I still remember my pregnancy constipation nightmares! Seriously, drink warm milk with a spoon of ghee at night—it works like magic for digestion. Don't sit on the commode for too long, it's not worth the effort!
Oh dear, I feel you so much! It's so painful and exhausting to deal with this when you are already carrying a baby. Just try to eat lots of fiber like apples, oats and drink warm water in the morning. Sending you lots of love and strength, this phase will pass!
