After delivery my cheeks and neck have become darker and patchy. I thought it will go quickly but it has been a few months. Did your pregnancy pigmentation fade on its own?
Honestly dont spend thousands on fancy treatments straight away, a lot of it fades naturally. A decent sunscreen and patience did most of the work for me. If it really stays stubborn after months, then see a dermatologist.
Pigmentation usually fades after delivery, give it a few months. What helped me, regular sunscreen daily without fail, because sun makes it worse. Dont rush to harsh creams, especially if you are breastfeeding, check with a derm.
Mine lightened a lot once my hormones settled after a few months of feeding. I kept it simple, sunscreen and a mild moisturiser. Avoid strong actives while nursing, I asked my doctor before using anything on my face.
I totally understand, those dark patches on my face after delivery really got me down. For most of us it fades slowly on its own over months, mine took time but it did lighten. Be gentle with yourself, your body just did a huge thing.
This is the melasma from pregnancy hormones. Mine faded gradually post delivery. The one thing every source agreed on was sunscreen and reapplying it. For anything stronger, a derm visit is safer than random online creams.
