My face and neck have gotten so dark since the 2nd trimester started, especially around cheeks. I dont want to use anything harsh right now obviously. Did anything natural work for you ladies?
I stuck to gentle home stuff, like aloe and besan, nothing harsh. Big thing is sunscreen and covering up in the sun. Skip the strong fairness or acid creams while pregnant, and if any patch looks odd or itchy, show a doctor.
Pregnancy pigmentation is super common, dont waste money on fancy treatments now. Sunscreen and a hat when you step out is your best friend, sun makes it darker. Most of it lightens after the baby comes. Avoid strong creams unless your derm okays them in pregnancy.
I got that dark line and patches on my face too, the hormones do it. Honestly mine faded a lot on its own after delivery. During pregnancy I just used sunscreen daily and kept skincare simple, didnt try to aggressively remove it.
Most pregnancy melasma is hormonal and fades after delivery, so I'd say be patient. Daily broad spectrum sunscreen is the one thing that genuinely helps prevent it worsening. For any active treatment, check with a dermatologist since many actives arent advised now.
