How to get rid of smelly discharge during pregnancy?
Since last week ive noticed the discharge has a different smell than usual and its bothering me. Im 22 weeks. Planning to mention it to my gynac in next visit but wanted to know if others faced this too.
Normal discharge in pregnancy increases but it shouldnt smell bad. If it has a strong odour or itching, thats a sign to see your doctor. Meanwhile keep the area clean and dry, cotton inners help, but get it looked at.
I dealt with infections a few times and I learnt not to self treat down there. A smelly discharge usually needs a doctor to check and prescribe something. Dont feel shy, gynacs see this all the time.
Please dont ignore a smelly discharge, that can mean an infection and not just normal change. I had something similar and my gynac gave me proper treatment for it. Better to get it checked than try home stuff for this.
