Second trimester here and my throat is paining since 2 days, thoda scratchy feeling. Dont want to take random stuff without asking doc. What safe things worked for u all?
For my sore throat, I avoided sweetened cough drops or warm honey water because of my gestational diabetes. Just stick to simple warm water gargles with a little salt, it's safe and doesn't mess with your blood sugar levels.
Sending you so much warmth and comfort. When I had throat pain during my precious IVF pregnancy, I found that inhaling steam and sipping plain warm water brought a lot of relief without taking any risks. Praying you feel better soon.
Please be very careful about taking any random throat lozenges or home remedies. I had a lot of complications during my pregnancy, so I always advise speaking to your doctor first even for a simple sore throat to ensure it's safe.
I had terrible throat pain in my first trimester and panicked thinking it was a severe infection. But simple salt water gargles twice a day worked like magic in just two days, so don't worry, it's very common and easy to manage!
I don't want to suggest any medicines, but personally, warm ginger-tulsi tea without too much sugar was my absolute savior. I also did salt water gargles every night before sleeping to keep it clean.
