My hb is low and gynac has advised iron sucrose injections. I have to go to the clinic for them but im so curious how it's actually done, is it a drip or a normal injection? Anyone who has taken these, how was the experience for you?
Please dont attempt this at home, iron sucrose is an IV injection that must be given by a nurse or doctor in a clinic. I had it for low hb and they monitored me during it. Always get it done under medical supervision.
This is given slowly through a vein at the hospital or clinic, not something to do yourself. They watch for any reaction. Just go to where your gynac referred and the staff will handle it.
I took these for anemia in my last trimester at the day care unit. It was quick and fine, just rest a bit after. Definitely get it done by the staff, not at home.
