Since i conceived my digestion has gone for a toss yaar, feels heavy after almost every meal. Trying to eat light but still not great. What worked for u all to feel a bit better?
I had terrible morning sickness and digestion issues, so I know how exhausting it feels. Try having small, frequent meals instead of three heavy ones, and sip on warm ginger-lemon water. Avoid lying down immediately after eating, sit upright for at least 30 minutes.
Keeping yourself hydrated is the key to good digestion. I used to have a glass of fresh buttermilk (chaas) with roasted cumin powder after lunch, which really cooled my stomach. Adding lots of fiber like cucumbers and apples in your diet also helps a lot.
Looking back, pregnancy digestion was such a struggle for me! My best advice is to walk for 10-15 minutes after every single meal, even if you feel lazy. Also, drinking warm water instead of cold throughout the day made a huge difference.
Chewing a pinch of saunf (fennel seeds) after meals really helped my bloating. But if you have severe stomach pain, constant vomiting, or can't keep any food down, please don't rely on home remedies and consult your gynac. For normal mild gas, warm water and light walks are the best.
I feel your pain, pregnancy acidity and bloating can make you feel so miserable! Just remember this phase is temporary and your body is doing amazing work. Try sleeping with your head slightly elevated using a pregnancy pillow, it really helps stop acid reflux at night.
