My underwear felt wet twice today and I cant tell if it is discharge, urine, or something else. I am worried because I am in third trimester and will check with my gynac. How did you know the difference?
This one I'd not take lightly. Amniotic fluid is usually clear or pale, watery, has no smell and you cant control the leak like you can with pee. If u suspect water leaking, call your doctor right away or go in, dont wait it out.
My doctor explained, urine you can hold back and it smells, discharge is thicker, but amniotic fluid is thin, watery, odourless and keeps trickling. If you're unsure whether it's water leaking, it's always safer to get checked, they have a quick test for it.
The difference is, leak you cant stop and its watery and clear, pee you can control and it smells. If u think its fluid, especially before due date, ring your gynac immediately. Better safe than sorry on this.
I just went through this last month, I felt a sudden watery gush that I couldnt hold and rushed in, it was my water breaking. It's quite different from normal discharge. If you feel that, go to the hospital, dont second guess.
Discharge is thicker and creamy, urine smells and is controllable, amniotic fluid is thin and continuous. Honestly it can be hard to tell, so if there's any real doubt please get examined rather than guessing.
Beta agar paani jaisa patla, gandh rehit aur lagataar nikal raha hai aur ruk nahi raha, to turant doctor ko call karo. Yeh wait karne wali cheez nahi hai. Better to get checked and be sure.
