How to identify pregnancy with pulse?
My MIL keeps saying she can tell if im pregnant just by checking the pulse on my wrist, like the old ladies used to do. Periods are 4 days late and im too impatient to wait for a test. Does this pulse thing actually work or is it just a myth? curious to know.
My doctor laughed when I mentioned this, she said pulse cant confirm pregnancy. Heart rate does rise in pregnancy but you cant judge it yourself like that. Use a test kit or beta hcg instead.
Honestly you cant reliably tell pregnancy from your pulse, thats just an old belief. Pulse changes for many reasons. The only sure way is a proper test or blood test.
Beta, in older days women talked about feeling a pulse near the navel, but its not reliable at all. Dont depend on such things. Take a proper test, thats the real answer.
