My latest blood report came and platelets are on the lower side, gynac told me to keep a watch. Im 28 weeks. Honestly im a bit worried about delivery time. Did anyone manage to bring it up naturally with diet, what foods helped you?
My doctor said mild dips in platelets are actually somewhat common late in pregnancy and often just need monitoring. She had me eat well with iron and folate rich foods but stressed that the count itself she would track. So diet supports it but the doctor decides on treatment.
Beta good nourishing food helps in general, fruits like papaya, greens and dal were what we relied on. But platelets are a serious thing, dont depend only on home food. Keep showing your reports to the doctor regularly.
My platelets dropped during pregnancy and the doctor monitored it very closely, this is not a do-it-yourself thing. Please follow your gynac's advice fully. They will tell you if it just needs watching or anything more.
