My recent report showed low albumin and my gynac mentioned it but i didnt fully understand what to do about it. Im in my second trimester. Just want to know if any diet changes actually helped someone here.
I had to watch my diet closely so I always ran food changes past my dietician. For protein I did egg whites, sprouts, curd and dal water. But low albumin is something ur gynac should track, dont only depend on home food, ask them.
More protein is the basic answer, eggs, chicken, dal, milk, paneer daily. Thats what helped my counts. But if it stays low even after eating well then doctor needs to check the reason, dont ignore it.
You dont need fancy supplements for this. Cheap good protein like eggs, soya, dal, peanuts works well and easy on pocket. Just keep retesting as doctor says so u dont spend on unnecessary stuff.
My doctor said low albumin usually means u need more protein in diet, so she told me to add eggs, dal, paneer, milk and good protein with every meal. But she also checked why it was low first. Pls dont self treat, get ur reports reviewed because low albumin can need monitoring.
Beta dont panic over one reading. Increase protein in your meals slowly and stay regular with your checkups. Let the doctor guide how often to recheck, they will tell u the right path.
Please get this looked at properly. Low albumin can sometimes connect to other things in pregnancy like BP or kidney stuff, so its not just a food fix. My doctor monitored mine closely. Eat protein yes but follow ur gynac fully.
