My hb came low in the last test and doctor said i need to bring it up. Im in my second trimester and feeling tired most of the time. Apart from the medicines, what foods actually helped you raise it?
My Hb dropped low in pregnancy and I felt very weak and dizzy. Please dont self treat this, get your levels checked. My doctor adjusted my iron and at one point I needed extra support. If you feel breathless or very tired, tell your gynac soon.
My doctor said diet alone often isnt enough in pregnancy, so the iron supplement matters. She told me to take it with vitamin C and away from milk and tea. She also rechecked my Hb to see if it improved. Worth asking yours to monitor it.
I used to eat anar, palak and dates daily, and drink beetroot juice. It helped me feel less tired. But do take your iron goli and get blood test done, doctor knows your level best.
Beta, in our homes we give beetroot, pomegranate, dates and gud regularly for blood. These help na, but they go along with the doctor's iron, not instead of it. If you feel weak, get the test done and listen to your gynac.
If you mean haemoglobin, food plus your iron supplement is the combo. Palak, beetroot, dates, jaggery, and pair iron foods with vitamin C like lemon or amla for better absorption. Avoid tea right after meals, it blocks iron. And take the iron tablets your doctor gave.
