My last report showed hb a little low and gynac said i need to bring it up. Im 6 months now and feeling tired all the time. Other than the tablets, what foods helped you increase hb?
My hb dropped in second pregnancy so I know this. Iron rich food helped, palak, beetroot, jaggery, dates, plus the iron tablets my doc gave. Big tip, take iron with vitamin C like nimbu pani or oranges, it absorbs better. And avoid tea right after meals, it blocks iron.
Mine went very low and needed proper medical treatment, so please dont rely only on food if your hb is really low. Get it tested, follow the iron your gynac prescribes. Low hb in pregnancy is something to take seriously, not ignore.
Beta beetroot, anar, palak aur khajoor khao, ye purane gharelu cheezein hb ke liye achhi hain. Gud bhi thoda lo. But agar hb bahut kam hai to doctor ki iron goli zaroori hai, sirf gharelu se kaam nahi chalega kabhi kabhi.
We added more greens, dates and a little jaggery as my mother suggested, and it gently helped along with the iron tablets. Taking iron with something sour like lemon really improves it. But always let your doctor track the hb level na, that comes first.
My doctor said diet alone often isnt enough in pregnancy so she added iron supplements after checking my hb. Foodwise she suggested green leafy veg, dates, raisins, jaggery and pairing them with citrus for absorption. Definitely get your hb tested and let the doctor decide the iron dose, dont guess it.
