My hb came a bit low in my last report and doc mentioned mild anemia. Im 5 months along. Apart from tablets i want to add foods that help build blood naturally, what did u all eat?
You dont need fancy stuff, simple cheap things work, beetroot, spinach, dates, jaggery, peanuts. Get your hemoglobin tested, its not expensive, so the doctor knows if food is enough or you need iron tablets too. Test first, then plan.
Beta in our house we always gave iron rich food, palak, beetroot, dates, jaggery, anar. These help build blood naturally. But if doctor has prescribed iron tablets, do take those also, food alone may not be enough in pregnancy.
My mother used to make me drink anar juice and add curry leaves and greens to my meals daily, it really helped my levels. Along with that I took whatever the doctor prescribed. Both together is the safe way.
Eat iron rich foods, green leafy veg, rajma, dates, jaggery, and have vitamin C with them like lemon or amla so iron absorbs better. Avoid tea right after meals, it blocks iron. And dont skip the iron supplement your doctor gives.
My gynac said for low hemoglobin, food plus the prescribed iron and folic acid together work best. She told me to pair iron foods with vitamin C and not with calcium or tea at the same time. Get your hb checked regularly so they can adjust.
