How to increase hemoglobin during pregnancy naturally?
My recent blood test showed that my hemoglobin levels are a bit low. I want to try and increase it naturally, without too many supplements if possible. What are some natural ways to increase hemoglobin during pregnancy?
Please take your iron supplements regularly along with natural foods, as low hemoglobin can cause complications. Eat pomegranate and beetroot, but please keep your doctor updated.
Include iron-rich foods like spinach, dates, and safe cooked beans in your diet, and pair them with vitamin C (like lemon juice) for better absorption. But please don't skip your iron tablets, natural diet alone might not be enough during pregnancy.
Dates (khajur) are amazing for this, and try cooking in iron kadhai if you can. Iron absorption increases when you take Vitamin C, so always have amla or lemon with your meals.
My mother-in-law used to give me curry leaf chutney and ragi porridge daily to improve my blood levels. But side by side, I never missed my iron tablets given by the gynac.
